Project profile

My portfolio is full of interventions in the built environment, often a pre-existing space in need of regeneration, but also new build projects where it is possible to make the art a part of the building fabric. I work in collaboration with other professionals in multidisciplinary design teams to embed creative thinking in all the processes that shape the outcome. I ensure that art belongs as a component within a whole idea; like an accent in the planning, engineering and architectural language.

I see the streetscape as a stage and my designs explore and animate the spaces between buildings, encouraging promenading, socialising in pocket parks or seating clusters, playful interaction between ages, parading and celebrating on the street.

Above all I strive to create living places accommodating the mess and chaos of everyday life.
